Nikky Raney's Future of Blogging (with Zennie62.com)

Zennie Abraham is the Founder and CEO of Sports Business Simulations Inc., blogger for San Francisco Chronicle's City Brights, and has his own blog Zennie62.com. If you go to that blog you will see a list of "Contributors" on the side panel. Within that list you will find the name "NIKKY RANEY." That is me.

I am excited about this. I will be posting my "Future of Journalism" stories to this blog mostly, but they will also appear sometimes on his blog. My posts to his blog will be a lot more specific news story related/entertainment/politics. This blog is still my "personal" blog. That is my "business" blog; I guess you could say.

I have bought the domain name www.nikkyraney.com, and within the next 3 days (the blog is still in transition) the official website/link for this blog will be http://www.nikkyraney.com. Some of the blog entries that I post for Zennie62.com may not appear on this blog, just like some of the blog entries for this blog may not appear on Zennie62.com.

Thank you so much Zennie for this opportunity. I am honored and excited to contribute.

As I have mentioned before, I am an aspiring journalist that BLOGS. But I am a blogger that is an aspiring journalist also. So, I am not saying that "blogging is journalism," but it ties in with the FUTURE of journalism :)

P.S. And yes, the previous blog entry was about him. I don't think I need to keep that secret anymore.

So: big blogging ahead of me. And I was never even a fan of blogging to begin with. This will be the start of a great experience!

"Blogs, social networks, newspapers, any other form of publication – all have social aspects to them. It is a spectrum really, with social networks at one extreme and a 19th century novel at the other. But there’s room for all types of social publishing platforms." - Richard McManus
